Back Paddock Adviser Mobile
Back Paddock Adviser Mobile works on the Apple iPhone and iPad, enabling professional Agronomist's to create paddock inspection and spray recommendations in the field, which they in turn synchronise with CornerPost to ensure the data is seamlessly shared with their other devices.
At the design core of the Back Paddock System, is the vision to deliver a holistic solution and in our modern age that means the ability to function across multiple devices, sharing information with many users. The proliferation and uptake of smartphones over the past two years has been extraordinary, largely driven by the innovation first offered by the Apple iPhone. In designing these first mobile device applications, Back Paddock has chosen the Apple platform, firstly because it is the most commercially mature but also because we can deploy the same application across both the iPhone and iPad.
For 2012, there are two mobile applications. The first is known as Back Paddock Adviser Mobile and enables the agronomist to create paddock inspection and spray recommendations in the field, which they in turn synchronise with CornerPost to ensure the data is seamlessly shared with their other devices.
There are two important design aspects of Adviser Mobile, the first is that any information already available in the farm production plan will be 'inherited' by the mobile application, ensuring little or no data is needed to be entered in the field. The second is that we've built the mobile applications to be fully functional and operational offline, meaning they ony require the internet to synchronise the information with CornerPost when internet connectivty is available. This was an overwhelming requirement from our extensive market research.
Back Paddock Adviser Mobile is bundled as part of your Back Paddock Adviser Professional software, at no additional cost. A selected group is currently field-testing Adviser Mobile, in readiness for the 2012 season.
